Behind the Scenes: Breathe with Breeze
Y'all, when I tell you I love my job, what I actually mean is that I love my clients.
I began working with Briana Cesolini around October 2022. Bri is a local massage therapist who recently branched out as a Breathwork facilitator with her business Breathe with Breeze.
I have learned so much about Breathwork and also about myself from Bri! She was my first client, so I learned a lot about how to manage clients, set, relay, and meet goals, and how to best support small business owners on their journeys to success.
In January 2023, Bri and I really started to lay the groundwork for our partnership. In our conversations, we identified three top priorities that I could help with: a logo, a website, and a strong social media presence.
The first priority was her logo. As you can see, the logo can be "zhuzhed" in numerous ways but keep its own little ecosystem. This is great when working with print or digital ads because it can be stamped anywhere and remain independently recognizable.
Now let's talk about color! Bri's initial logo included deep blues and purples, so I wanted to stick with what she was attracted to. Important note: all my work with Bri directly relates back to what she wanted. Breathe with Breeze is her baby, not mine. She has to love my work and be happy with it, otherwise we are in breach of our partnership agreement to ensure that both of our needs are met.
I digress.
Blue and purples. Boom. I designed a multi-color, yet not too busy background with a neon ring in the middle for some pop. Originally, the "B" was lime green, but Bri suggested a nice baby pink, which we both loved. The logo package I created (the four images above) is versatile and will meet all of Bri's needs moving forward.
After finishing the logo package, I turned my attention to building her website at www.breathewithbreeze.com. Seriously, check it out.
We started with the basics: a homepage, an about page, an FAQ page, and a contact link. In my years as a website manager, I've learned that if you have a page on your website, it needs to be useful, informative, and necessary. Otherwise, you're just wasting your time.
My job is to create an attractive and easy-to-navigate online space not only for my clients, but for their clients. Without getting too deep into the behind-the-scenes work that goes into building a website (such as SEO, domain, and mobile optimization), it took about six hours to build the website. Bri was open and honest about her needs and vision for her business, which was super helpful throughout our partnership. Our upfront communication really made the project come together into what it is today, and I'm really happy with the outcome. And if you don’t want to take my word for it, you can hear it from Bri :)
“Working with Rachel has been a breeze. She is communicative, open to
ideas, and fun to work with. I told her my ideas and she magically produced
what I envisioned. She really listened to what my needs were and continues
to do so as we continue to work together. My website is beautiful, colorful and easily accessible. Rachel has been critical since the formation of my new business, in both having the unique ability to understand my vision, as well as interpreting my brand so my
business launch was simply executed. She really has a knack for digital
design. All of this was at a price that was manageable for me with my start-up business. I highly recommend Rachel.”
Next on our list is to tackle social media branding and best practices. Stay tuned!
