Running Thoughts Part 1

Oh man, am I going 3 miles or 6 miles?

I don't want to be running right now.

Ooo good song.

Should I run 3 miles?

Should I run 6 miles?

Should I run 3 miles?

Bemidji should really plow these sidewalks...

I mean, they plow the roads. Why can't they plow the sidewalks?

I’m mad that these sidewalks are not plowed.

I mean, this is absurd!

I should take a picture of how bad these sidewalks are!

Wait.

Why am I so mad?

Yeah girl, run off this madness.

There are so many other things to be mad about.

Like how the environment is being harmed by reckless human behavior.

That mountaintops are literally blown off mountains for coal.

There are chemicals in my water that are making me sick!

There are mothers in Africa giving birth without electricity right now.

And children who have to walk miles (MILES!) to school everyday.

Bemidji State grooms their sidewalks very well.

Thanks Bemidji State.

And those same children don't have lights to do their homework at night!

There are people who live in my community who want to turn a blind eye to the homeless and are trying to prevent a homeless shelter from opening down the street.

Why is that guy holding an umbrella?

What if snowflakes were the size of my face?

Think of all the gas and energy that would be wasted by plowing these sidewalks...

It's just gonna snow again.

That energy can be used elsewhere.

Like in Africa, where medications are not always refrigerated because of lack of electricity.

Yeah, I will gladly run on this unplowed sidewalk.

It's like running on the beach!

Which is hard - and a better work out.

Thanks for not plowing these sidewalks Bemidji.

You're just trying to make me work harder.

YEAH!

I'm gonna try running on the plowed road though.

OOF (I fell down).

Ouch.

I'll stick to the unplowed sidewalks.

Rachel out.
